Excursion with a guided tour of the island and welcome drink. The guided tour takes you through the untouched nature of the park, the beautiful Italian and English gardens, a couple of rooms inside the magnificent and elegant neo-gothic Venetian styel villa from the early 1900’s.
The boat ride lasts approximately 15 minutes each way. The visit of the island is around 2 hours and half (including the welcome drink).

Owned by the Borghese Cavazza family, this private residence is a living piece of history. Your guided tour begins in the Italian-style gardens, where perfectly manicured hedges and flowering shrubs slope gently toward the water. You’ll then move into the English garden, a lush botanical haven filled with exotic plants from around the world, rare flowers, and centuries-old cypresses.
As you enter the villa, your guide will lead you through some of its most exquisite rooms, sharing stories of the noble families who transformed this rock into a paradise. You’ll learn how the island served as a refuge for pirates, a 13th-century Franciscan monastery, and even a strategic military outpost.
The tour concludes with a moment of pure relaxation: a welcome drink on the villa’s panoramic terrace. Here, you will taste local DOC wines and the family’s own DOP olive oil while soaking in 360-degree views of the lake and the surrounding mountains.
